LINUX HOSTING: the CHMOD commands are native in *nix environment, therefore, it is always possible to change the permissions of the folders in Linux environment.
You can use the permissions that you prefer, bearing in mind that the php scripts, the directories where they reside and the .cgi files, should have the permissions set to 755.
WINDOWS HOSTING: With the Tool Permission Manager, those who have an active domain with Aruba with basic Windows Hosting or Windows + Linux Hosting service, may set and manage the reading, writing and executing permissions of the files and folders found in their web space.
Simply go to the Control Panel of the domain and then select the following button found in the “Domain Management” section.
Alternatively you can use the inheritance of permissions given to the special folders found in the web space at the time of activation, for which it is not possible to change permissions.
